Had a table read for my pilot today and it helped tremendously

I’ve been working on a pilot through the WGF Veterans Writing Project since May and my mentors recommended that I do a table read to trim my pilot down from 38 pages to under 35.
Today i had several actors/comedians come through to play the parts and hearing everything out loud helped me figure out where I could trim.
I was able to get the script down to 32 pages.
If you’re able to, I highly recommend setting up a table read for your script.
It works wonders!
