I have been working on a TV series for about 2 years now, I need some assistance now on where/how to network with the right people. It occurs in Victorian England and is based on factual history... sex, drugs, violence, politics, poverty, gambling, corruption.. Iāve heavily researched and it has amazing depth and opportunity for many strong supporting characters and storylines.
I know that I have the right ābonesā but have so many choices for the āfillerā that Iām a bit overwhelmed. I know nothing about target audiences but would like the filler to attract or excite viewers that arenāt interested in the rich history.
Iām not a writer by profession. I happened across this page of history and was immediately taken by the story. Iāve read endless hours about it and the story is so good it tells itself. I have hundreds of pages written about the storyline and a few different versions of 1 page summations of the series but have no idea where to go from here. Nearly everyone Iāve told the story to gets quite interested and is stunned thereās no documentaries and few books about it. Do I need to find a writing partner? An agent? A producer?
TLDR; Where/who do I go to now, I have a series outline and individual episode ideas about a Victorian England drama
