So for a recap on the idea:
-Semi-anthology style show (cartoon/comic) similar to the style of Rick and Morty or Gravity Falls, getting more serious as the show goes on
-Grimdark 40K style world where the setting is in a constant state of war. But the show is entirely based around the work crew at “The Frontline Grill”, a fast food diner that’s positioned dangerously close to the action.
Naturally the show is gonna be more of a comedy and sometimes delve into satire. The crew are going to basically be living in their own separate world that doesn’t normally get effected by the war and instead they find their own ways to have fun and such while at work, chaos will ensue from this.
What I currently have for a cast of characters is this: Nick, usual protagonist and store front/caterer, comes from a more well to do family and got the job at the diner to get away from the prospect of DEATH, and instead found a separate world from all the chaos. Charley, could be seen as Nate’s lancer in this story, runner/secondary caterer/backup grill worker. Veteran employee with a bit of a mystery streak, enjoys dark and dirty humor. Becomes Nick’s closest friend and roommate following the first few episodes. Supporting cast includes large cuddly woman named Mary, and lean full of himself dude named Jack, who both work on the grill and help make the food. The owner/manager/“commander” of the place is an old grizzled guy named Sarge, as an Easter egg his vocal mannerisms will be similar to Sergeant Dorian from FO2. I do have some plots/subplots in mind, as well as references and call outs to other various communities.
