I am coming out of one of my darkest period of depression in recent memory. The other day, I took out my books again, and begin brainstorming.

My question is, what philosophers should I read? I want to learn from the greatest and earliest storytellers. I'm also open to other books that have helped any of you to become better storytellers.

I am hungry to learn and become the artist I was born to be. I have come to the realization that the only way I will be fulfilled is if I pursue my dreams.

Screenwriting and filmmaking has saved my life multiple times. I cannot veer off course again bc I fear I may not find my way back.
