I read this post that was submitted on this community about a year ago talking about the cliche of addiction movies. How they are overused, not written well, and unrealistic. Here I am with a story in development about addiction and reading this post was great for me. It opened my eyes up to what I need to do to make this the best story it can be and not follow the abundant amounts of similar ideas. While mine is not on the extremely creative side, I know that most depends on how you execute your screenplay and the unique flow it has. I wanted to see if anyone could message me (maybe someone who knows about addiction or has read/seen many films regarding this theme) and I could let them know my plans and have them help me expand it and set it in motion to write. I'm open to anyone :)
