I hate haunted house movies

I love the horror genre but haunted house movies never scare me. They all seem very cliche and whenever I see a trailer for one I sort of roll my eyes.

So, for that reason I thought I'd attempt to write one.

Is there anyone here who'd be interested in collaborating online to write something?

I suppose it intention is to write something I'd want to see that would vary what we always see in these movies (I'm not here for jump scares or the standard 'history of the house' type scenarios) - something truly gritty and scary but also different and unique.

Let's brainstorm ideas.
