This is the most I've ever written and at 106 pages, typing FADE TO BLACK was so satisfying! I have an unorthodox writing style that lends itself to very few finished projects but once I got my feet off the ground with this I just couldn't touch down!
Writing this piece was so fun and challenging. As a director/writer I would often catch myself looking at it from a director's standpoint rather than a screenwriter's (even though I do plan on trying to get this thing produced). The most I'd ever written prior to this was 53 pages for a 20 minute short so this was gruelling. I'm so glad that I finished it!
It was so tempting to go back and rewrite the issues that I know I have but I knew I just had to finish it. Now I start the rewrite process with some trusted friends. This is such a cool feeling!
