Getting back to writing after a couple years

Post Body

I stopped writing for like 2 years it feels like and I'm wanting to pick it back up to fill my time between work and summer classes. I started countless different scripts and never got past the first few pages. I know it's because I just wanted to jump into writing and spent almost no time in the prewriting phase. I only ever finished one short movie script that was for this little class/competition I was in. (Which I won actually) But that's it. Everything else is just fragments of ideas.

Some of those thing I feel like I want to revisit but could that slow me down? Should I just start coming up with new ideas? And could it benefit me just finish some short form storylines before I try to write something full length?
