Script where the third act twist is that the antagonist doesn’t really “exist”
Post Body

Not sure if this makes sense, but I’m looking for any scripts that have a clear antagonist throughout the story (whether that be a character, environment etc etc) but a twist in the third act reveals the antagonist to be “nothing”. I know it sounds counter-intuitive because “nothing” is not exciting and goes against rules of screenwriting but I am writing a sort of unconventional script that ends with something similar to this (the antagonist in my story is revealed to be the protagonist’s state of mind, so not “nothing” but plot-wise it is “nothing”).

One script I had in mind is Bodies Bodies Bodies and it’s already given me some ideas even though the tone and subject matter is completely different.

Anyways I’d love to hear some recommendations. Thank you in advance.
