I have an idea for a show, say 8 episodes, about a small group of people across the US who are dealing with health issues due to a failing organ. The first few episodes follow their everyday life and struggles.

Episode four introduces a new character. He are healthy and going about his life. We see his family life, some of his struggles. The audience start to care about him, but they probably know what will happen. Something happens and he dies and his family donates his organs.

The following episode shows the main characters scrambling to get to the hospital and their happiness juxtaposed with the donor families grief.

We then get to see the main characters life go back to normal after they recover. A woman who received lungs can walk her daughter down the aisle and play with her grandkids. We see other things like that.
