Hey, I'm currently writing a supernatural action-adventure series. I've been writing it since 2017 & I struggle with creating a script I find truly good because I tend to second guess what I have & rewrite it a lot. I mostly do this because I don't classify myself as a screenwriter since I never wanted to be one, I just have to do it because there's no one else to write the show. I would much more easily call myself a producer because I find in enjoyment in craft the world, building the story, establishing characters, & doing the research to make these thing feel authentic. I've taken multiple screenwriting classes, done peer review, participated in pitch meetings, read scripts for similar shows, researched through youtube, written others projects (with the same outcome) and even met with writing/language arts teachers. The show is mapped out up to season 4 & a pitch/series bible has been made. I just can not seem to move beyond that pilot episode because I want the introduction to the characters to be an opportunity to truly understand them. I don't want the audience to get the wrong impressions, I don't know how to introduce certain concepts, & I'm kind of bad at working some of the magical happening into the script format since most people don't teach that. My issue not that I find my script to be bad, actually find it to be good & I've received some positive feedback, but I always second guess whether it is the best it can be. If anyone has any advice or help to offer, I'm open to it. Also, I live in Atlanta so anyone wants to do like a writer's meet up I'm open.
