I have a theory about the opening for Scream VI which I think is VERY plausible...

What if the opening for Scream VI takes place in the first 20-30 minutes of the movie?

My reasoning for thinking this is VA came out today and said that a lot of the movie takes place on the night of the opening (Halloween night) and it has also been confirmed that this will be the longest opening.

I think that THIS will be the opening:

Samantha, Tara, Mindy, Chad and the newbies (Liana, Jack, maybe Josh?, etc.) are heading to a Halloween party on Halloween night. Headed to the same party are Tony Revalori and Samara Weaving’s characters.

During the opening we re/introduce characters and get to know them more. Eventually, as the night progresses, Samara and Tony head upstairs to have sex. Right before Samara performs or@l sex on Tony, Ghostface jumps not of a closet or something and kills Tony. Samara has a Chase scene throughout the whole party, eventually being killed on the dance floor in front of everyone.

BAM! Cut to black - This opening would help flesh out the surviving characters as well as welcome and introduce new characters too. It would also set the tone for the movie and would show the gore Matt and Tyler where talking about (or@l sex but with a knife)

What are your thoughts on this idea?
