Please help I’ve been driving for hours

I’ve been driving around in my controller powered car looking for any of 3 things, those being cotton, an ember forest, and a desert biome hopefully with an oil pond in it.

I’ve been driving both in an expanding circle and in straight lines for hours now and haven’t found anything. I know cotton only spawns in a certain biome but I haven’t found that biome at all. Did I just get a botched seed, or am I doing something wrong? How far from spawn are these things typically. I’m looking for sustainability in my survival world but I’ve been at this for hours and haven’t found anything.
