Hey I'm Daniel, I'm 32 and I live in the north east of Scotland.

In my spare time I like outdoor activities like camping, fishing, Running etc.

For indoor stuff I like reading a lot, making terrariums(which you can see pictures of in my other posts) . I have a huge house plant collection which is always growing. I also have a slight obsession with trying new herbal teas, my favourite is Rooibos.

I'd love to get out and meet people. Expand my social life to its potential. I've spent the last wee while feeling disconnected from other people and looking to reconnect.

I just started going to an all men's book group, so I'll see how that goes. There is also a new social foraging group away to start in my area and I'm really excited about getting out and learning about all the edible delights in our outdoor habitats.

I used to play some musical instruments when I was younger but stopped when life got busier with other things. I listen to a hugely variable collection of music. So things from Black metal to 90’s pop. Classical to electro.

I will read anything and actively push myself to read things that aren't in my comfort zone. My favourite non-fiction authors are Malcolm Gladwell and Bill Bryson. I like to read true crime and travel but like I said, I will read anything. One book that surprised me how much I liked it is ‘Sunset song’ by Lewis Grassic Gibbon. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a bit of romance.

I'm a really caring individual and I would do anything for anyone. I did some voluntary work before, as a counsellor and also as a first aider at music events. I enjoyed the different walks of life I would encounter and just being able to speak to people.

I used to work in the Catering industry so I'm a real foodie and I love to cook and will gladly trade food for cuddles.

I've got most of my shit together. I work full time. I drive, I have my own wee place in Stonehaven(full of plants).

I am really affectionate, I like cuddling on the sofa, watching movies together, lazy days planning adventures in bed but also going out for dinner, going for adventures and exploring the world around us.

I've been told I have a really dark sense of humour and I'm usually compared to the class clown when in a group setting.

I'm looking for a really open person who's not scared of being really affectionate towards me. I want to find a person who I can stay up all night talking to, planning adventures and talking about random things with.

Physically, I’m 5’9”, Average build with brown hair and Hazel eyes. I have tattoos. I have short stubble that I keep well groomed. I wear glasses. I’ll send a picture if you ask for one but don't be annoyed if I ask for one back.

I'm open to the idea of a long distance relationship if you are not local to me at first and then closing the gap to continue our relationship.
