New Reboot ideaβ€” They have fitting powers, redesigns, narrative driven, but the show is still gag-filled
Post Body

Yes, I know we hear narrative driven and think Mystery Inc. Before that we think of 13 Ghosts.

Welp, here's the tone I'm thinking: What's New Scooby Doo meets New Scooby Doo Movies in terms of tone, with a serialized vibe that's BETWEEN 13 Ghosts & Mystery Inc.

Each of the Meddling Kids has a power fitting them as a person in some way, and they all get mild to moderate redesigns.

Fred - Fred now has dark brown hair, bordering black, but in the same style. He's got a rougher appearance outside his now black ascot & it's clear he's a gear head. His physique is the same though, and his voice has the same tone and demeanor. He has super strength. How super? Welp, about 2 months before the start of the series, a weird accident happened where a full school bus was kinda stuck in its side. So Fred was let out via emergency exit and was able to, in a 7/10 performance, lift the full bus & set it back on the wheels, even carrying it out of the ditch and onto the road.

Daphne β€” She's still designed the same, except not her dress is black trimmed with a blue main colour, her ascot thingy is pink too. She's more self-assured in this incarnation & is remarked to be discussing dual-enrollment soon. Her power is Sewing things together, so she always carries a needle and thread. The phrase "My little sister wrecked my homework" is a common occurrence. She works lightning fast too. She also loves fashion like normal, and even often helps others with getting read for dates and such.

Velma β€” In a twist, she's the 2nd oldest of the group here, her design is unchanged outside longer hair mid-back hair. Her power is clairvoyance. She can, and does, she when disaster is imminent in the area. The big drawback is she can't stop it, but ahe can help others know what to do afterwards. She has litetally saved hundreds of lives from both fires and tornadoes on a couple occasion. Her favorite thing to do in her pass time, though, is play video games.

Shaggy β€” He's the oldest now, and we're using a Red Shirt Shaggy here with black pants and brown shoes. His power is just phasing through stuff, clothes included obviously. The amount of keys and rings he's retrieved has been enough to start a shop. Also, he's a devout/strict vegetarian here (if ya know ya know), to the point of even simple stuff like gelatin will make him sick. He's also culinary club's head chef with a hot track to become a restaurant owner. He and Velma game as best friends on the regular, because Shaggy is gay here.

Scooby β€” Talking dog with better communication than normal. He translates Animal to Human often & assists the local vets and such in their necessary work. He still has his "reech inrediment" but ya know, that's Scoobert for ya. He's also from a line/genus of magic dogs who have longevity and longer youth, but that's just a fun quirky explanation for this incarnation, and helps establish the Doo Family as needed.

The gang are childhood friends and with that they solve mysteries because the area has a super big weirdo problem too. And said weirdos are usually guilty of several things like attempted murder, destruction of property, etc. When arrested, they absolutely get told the actual crimes done.

4 season show, solid story, all the good stuff.
