Post Body

TL;DR Sieging Kor’Osa with 150k troops

• Digging a defensible position around the city (as best I can)

• Spending 5% of my income deterring and buy all goods from merchant who attempt to enter

• Engineers attempting to dig under the city and access the caverns below and if not they’ll attempt to blow up the walls.

• Anti-Air turrets are brought along to help counter enemy aircraft.

• "Fortress is getting shelled to shit." - Mpjama

FLUFF

From the tiniest humps of rock to the high-reaching hills of the valley, were splintered with small, thin streaks of running blood. For three years this battle has been ongoing, taking countless civilains, soldiers and apothecaries to their haunted grave, from either the trials of combat or succumbing to disease. This started as a petty squabble over an insult, but has raged into a full-out war between these two major, hostile cities whose Seers indisputably outright hate each other. None undoubtedly question their power, strength and knowledge but millions have died over what seems to be a long scholarch rivalry since their first atonement at the Temple of Seers.

As of now, thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Al’Vusian soldiers march towards the capital of Kor’Osa to finally set besiege and end this monstrous war once and for all. At the helm of this army is Commander Fal’Shia of the Protective Guard, betwixt her fingers lies a scroll descending to her from the High Seer. She clears her throat, letting the scroll run lose from its confined string.

“Soldiers of the Protective Guard, we have but one duty! And that is to serve our High Seer in the best way possible, for his guidance is what keeps our civilization afloat and our military strong and able. Without him we would surely succumb and retreat back to our former selves, living in the desert, feeding off our own people like our savage brothers of the Dune.

…A long war this has been, some of you may have even began to question it! But their Seer has insulted our hood and must be dealt with swiftly in a final blow to end the war. Today, is the day we march straight to their capital and end this once and for all.”

As the army clamours together as one, united front against their enemy seer, Fal’Shia manages to take one last gaze upon her audience before re-entering her tent. There was Rich, velvety carpet skirting round the tent, slowly being eroded away by the sand. And at the end of the room a figure sat on a throne, his hand cupped to his chin. *

“…A fine speech, Shia… A fine one. But let us set niceties aside and discuss our battle plan, no?”* he said, lifting from his chair, a slight limp noticeable to those with a keen eye.

A large projection of the Kor’Osaian area appeared on the map, detailing several key features of the city, its areas of strength and weakness, food deposits, trade routes from other cities and caverns beneath the city picked up by scanners.

“As you can see, they’ve managed to make the city quite a defensible position for themselves, and I’d highly go against a full frontal assault. At least a highly direct one anyway.”

“Then what course of action do you suggest then? Raid and disrupt the caravans entering the city, starve them out?”

“If are going to start attacking and raiding every merchant that attempts to enter Kor’Osa, we’ll end up with multiple wars on our hand. We should attempt to buy them out or turn them away from our endeavours, it’s the only way.”

“Then what about the siege?”

“The siege? It’ll commence shortly after we have begun deterring the merchants. We’ll dig-in a defensive position around the city as best we can, whilst our engineers shall diverge beneath the surface and attempt to tap into the caverns below and if not, we shall tunnel beneath their city and blow them from below.”
