What does everyone do?

I’m going on week three off from work. I’m lucky that I don’t get backed up and I can do some things from bed. I’m also lucky that I have a month’s PTO a year. What does everyone else do when this hits and it’s not possible to function? If I had a different Jon situation I do net know how things would be.
