So I have a 5 mm herniation and it’s touching the nerves. I have sciatic pain right side that’s pretty bad.
I have had two epidurals for pain management. I’m taking tons of vitamins and doing PT. It’s been 3 months now as I have been pushing surgery off.
Two neurosurgeons have told me they want to do a mild lamenectony and cut the herniation part and heal up in 8 weeks.
I’m still avoiding surgery but I’m 52 and I don’t heal as quick as others. My wife is a doctor so we are doing everything to avoid cutting.
So anyone got any good exercises and pointers that have healed them instead of surgery. Also I use a brace to help stabilize my back during the day for a few hours.
