I was just thinking about the show and realizing that I have a few very definite headcanons about it, including

• In Open Mic, Patrick never intended to serenade David (but rather intended to play one of the many, many classic, non-romantic songs that people have been playing at open mics since time immemorial) but was so entertained by the fact that David immediately assumed that this was a ploy to serenade him that he decided to do it for real
• In The Olive Branch, just like we know that Dan got buzzed on Prosecco in order to perform the song, in-show David did the same thing
• In Friends and Family, Mr Hockley's tea was definitely marijuana (I have a semi-headcanon that they then branched into selling weed on purpose, but I don't insist on it)
• Roland and Jocelyn had Mutt when they were in high school (I know that this show doesn't actually have a real timeline, but not only is it the only way that Mutt's timeline even begins to make sense, it totally works with the way we know of Roland and Jocelyn)
• Johnny and Moira got married before Johnny became super-rich (he was already getting there, and Moira was already a C-lister or whatever, but I think that this fits in better both with the little we can piece together about the timeline and the nature of Johnny and Moira's relationship)
• This is I think more actual canon, but with the exception of Christmas, the Roses raised the kids Jewish, with Moira making a big effort to learn about Johnny's traditions and make sure that the kids were exposed to Jewish culture (Moira knowing what a seder is, David having gone on Birthright- by the way, to me as a Jewish person that was one of the funniest lines on the show)
• There is at least two weeks and more likely as much as a month between the first and second episodes of Season 4- this one is multipart, based on my belief that:
  - Roland knocked Jocelyn up on graduation night, and then since she wasn't expecting to be pregnant she would probably not have taken a test right away
  - David and Patrick had definitely been together for a while at that point, because 1) they just seem like people who are VERY comfortable and intimate together physically, which in a relationship in which one is, um, inexperienced in this area is something that I think would need at least some time 2) only four episodes later they were already at four months 3) David implies that he has personal experience with Ray's chattiness, which certainly implies that they've tried to have privacy at least once before, and probably multiple times, and there's also an implication that they've tried at the motel too 4) no sane person says "are you feeling sexy" to someone who they've never slept with before, or at least if they do then they really really shouldn't
