I was going to meet up with this girl I met on a subreddit, when she started to move the conversation to Kik I started getting suspicious but gave the benefit of the doubt. She said she was going to make a reservation for a hotel and sent pictures of the booking process but no confirmation, that’s when my alarm bells were going off.

She wanted my half of the money for the hotel upfront using cash app, I told her I don’t have a cash app but that I do have a PayPal. After that “she” gave me a QQ.com email even though “she” was Latina and supposedly has lived in the US her whole life. Blocked and reported.

Fortunately I never sent any revealing pics or personal information. Anybody else run into some similar scam?
