I recently tried to book a send money who I met online and sent 40 bucks to and it was refunded back and I got a text message that your money was refunded with a link on it. I assume that I did not click the link. I got suspicious and left that out because I was at work.

Today I got a message and I did not reply and instantly blocked them. And they messaged me from a number which I got a message that money was refunded. Saying that I got your information and I will leak it online.

I freezed my debit card instantly. And it has no balance onto it actually. It was on -0.14.

I did not recieve any messages after that. I was completely ignoring them.

Will anything happen to my bank account or is it better to close it and open a new one?
