I'm certain(?) that there was a scam at play here, but I'm not sure what it was.
I was expecting a call from a recruiter and therefore answered a phone call from a number I didn't recognize.
Guy claimed to be from a police department from all the way across on the opposite coast.
Asked for someone with an entirely weird name. (I should have hung up at this point, but I didn't)
So I go nope, this isn't he. (Coz my brain went, yea thats a PD calling, i can engage)
He asks who I am, - I refuse to answer.
He says can you say 'No to the question so I can close my file'
Proceeds to ask me if I was that entirely weird name - I hung up.
Surely he didn't want a recording of me saying 'No!', so what was it?
And I'm almost sure it wasnt any PD, because the phone number and the PD were from different states.
