Drosera Regia

So my step-father and I recently picked up some drosera regia seeds. I know that they grow pretty slowly (don't all CP's) and I was wondering if anyone has any insight on getting them to germinate. I'm in zone 7a, i was told to start in the fall by the guy I bought them from but he was/is in Bulgaria so I'm not sure how much stock to put into what he says. Any information helps!
