Beginner question.

Hi from New Zealand!
Reposting from another sub as I was told y’all are more active around here :P
I’ve just bought my first VFT and I do intend to keep her inside, I was told by the man I bought her from when she goes dormant to put her outside and leave her out there for the winter here in New Zealand. Is this good advice? (Christchurch, South Island) we do get the odd bad frost during winter.
