Are manifolds limited by belt speed?

Basically title. I'm running 22 coal generators at the waterfall area. I noticed I had to split my coal into two lines to fuel my generators "fast enough" so while I should theoretically be able to power 32 coal generators with 4 mk. 2 miners generating a total of 480 coal/min I've only unlocked up to mk. 3 conveyor belts which I've read cap out around 270 items per minute. My generators are fine now but if I try to push up to 32 total coal generators will I start having issues?
