Hey there! You can call me Turtle. These are several ideas I've had while playing through the game. Hope you like them. :)
#1: A Personal Database
When you come up with a design that you think is very efficient, you'd hope to be able to recreate the same design over and again. What if there was an easier way? What if you could essentially copy/paste the same configuration, including placement, building type, conveyor setup, etc. and all you'd have to do is point and click. It'd show the amount of materials needed similarly to the to-do list. I figure this would be a welcome idea: instead of having to line up each structure one by one, you could line them up.
#2: Floors
Now, I know there's the foundations, but perhaps there could be an alternative, like Concrete/Iron/Steel flooring that would be only 1m thick. Also, 4m x 4m x 2/4m flooring/foundation tiles would be welcome, too.
#3: Signs
Now these could be in Tier 1 or 2 easily: A simple small display to designate different things and locations. Stick them on the wall or on the structure itself.
#4: Lights!
I saw that there was some Industrial Lights in the experimental version, but also some small lights that could be affixed to the walls. Maybe adding a junction box of sorts to affix to the wall and smaller wires can be used for the small lights?
#5: Deconstructing Crash Sites
I know there's probably been some discussion about it already, but wasn't the whole idea of deconstructing your drop pod at the start part of showing the concept of re-using all parts? All I'm saying is we should be able to deconstruct the crash sites for further use, otherwise they become an obstacle and an eye-sore.
I'll probably have more ideas, but these are the only ones I could think of. I'm really enjoying the game though.
Keep on going, Coffee Stain!
