I just remembered this was a thing that happened. Basically over 10 years ago I was in high school. Well, I started dating this girl, and at the time I was a practicing Buddhist (still like the meditations, just don't identify with it anymore). Anyways, I followed her a couple of times to her teen group or whatever it was to be polite. So anyway, the pastor took it upon himself to look up my freaking Facebook page and stalk me, found out I was Buddhist from my profile, and told my then-girlfriend about it in an attemt to use religious reasons to break us up. She even called me freaking out. I just remembered how much of a shitty thing this was for the pastor to do, and why he thought it was appropriate to intervene in a teen's life like that.

Thankfully she's not part of that church anymore, and both of us are openly queer as well. We don't talk often, but it's always nice when we do. So happy ending!
