I just wanted to thank all of you who have took it upon your big hearts to come here and help total strangers out. I was absolutely DREADING Christmas this year and now that by chance I found this place...I am freaking pumped to see their faces Christmas morning like I used to be!! Our little family went through a lot these past two years...without going into too much boring detail I had to/chose to completely start over in a new town. I literally started from scratch...I've never been on assistance, asked for help, nothing like this before so needless to say I have been lost!! My life has always been comfortable...I worked hard, earned a BA in Healthcare administration and I've struggled sure but nothing like this. It's really something to not know where your next meal will come from, do you have enough gas to take your child to school AND get to work, going from having everything you need to basically nothing. Christmas has always been my big thing with my daughter (19) and son (6) we do all the typical traditions, wear the pj's, watch the movies, and then it literally is the highlight of my year to watch their faces Christmas morning. I sat up late one night on my phone trying to figure out if there was help out there for Christmas (bc I may be prideful but when it comes to them, I have no shame) and I found this YouTube video explaining the different places and the one that stuck out to me the most was this one. I made a reddit account and the rest was history!! I feel so blessed to have encountered wonderful, decent, humans like yourselves. I can't thank you all enough for helping us this year. I hope by this time next year I am able to pay it forward and be a Santa. I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and holiday season and I hope that your heart is filled like mine is currently! I can't wait to post Christmas pictures,thank you so much again!!!
