I am a single mom requesting help for my daughter for Christmas. We struggle to make it under normal circumstances and are so behind on pretty much everything. I just want to give my daughter a smile Christmas morning. Her birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas and I hate to let her down on Christmas and then again for her birthday so I just hope to have something for her to open Christmas morning.

Over this last year, her great grandfather who has Alzheimer’s/dementia has had such a hard time due to his disease progressing into the late stages. She was so sad that he sometimes cannot remember who she is or much of anything at all so she decided to start using her love of arts and crafts to make him these little memory books that she draws herself and this year in school since she has learned more about writing and sentences, she has started writing the words and story to go along with it . every time we sit with him she will go over the memory books with him to try to help him as much as she can. She is so patient With him and it is such a beautiful thing to see.
Something positive they accomplished this year: Reylissa just made the all A honor roll for the first half of the school year. She was also awarded the patience award for the month of October.
