Hello,
Getting my first snake, a sand boa. I have been reading up and was advised by the breeder to use an UTH heater. My niece who has a sand boa uses a UTH placed on the side of her tank. I bought a thermometer with probe; but it isn’t a thermostat that can be wired to the UTH. I am considering getting one to ensure the snake doesn’t burn. But I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for me to hook my UTH to the side of the tank rather then underneath? I also have a laser thermometer to test temps within the tank. Any advice welcome :)
