Want to do a post like this a few times a year, to give an overview of the sub, as well as open the floor up to suggestions, feedback, etc

MODS

There are two new mods in the sub, u/_incrediblystressed and u/historical-energy358. Not trying to make this super formal, which isn't this sub's vibe LOL. But please join me in welcoming them onboard, and helping do their part to keep me somewhat sane longer. POSSIBLY STILL LOOKING FOR ONE MORE MOD, so please feel free to apply if you're interested

SUB GROWTH

Sub seems to be growing decently. Some of those numbers are always gonna be bots, whichbee can do nothing about. But, there have noticeably been many real people posting for the first time, asking questions, and even setting up times/meets at a theater or bookstore. As well, of course, as some regulars/veterans who always bring a good time when they show up. MORE OF THAT PLEASE LOL. That's what this sub is all about, and I'm glad we've steadily built it up into one where that's possible

SPAM/BOTS

The filter on the sub still catches the majority of spam that comes into the sub. I'd say somewhere around 95% of it. But some still do slip through the cracks. TIPS TO SPOT A SPAMBOT

1. Numerous NSFW posts in a very short period of time
2. Little to no post history, or sudden jump from SFW to NSFW posts
3. All their replies are "DM/PM me"
4. What they're saying, grammatically, when you actually read their post, just doesn't make any fucking sense 🤷‍♂️

None of these alone are surefire signs. But two or more of them usually are. Spambots are actually easy to spot a lot of the time. Just stop using your little brain cuz you're excited a "female" is posting, do a bit of due diligence, and you can avoid wasting time, sending personal/private pics to someone who has NO good intentions towards you, AND getting scammed out of your money or identity

ASKING OTHERS TO RESCHEDULE

It's been an issue as long as I've been on the sub. A lady or couple posts a specific time they'll be there. Tons of guys reply. And AT LEAST ONE, sometimes more, come out of the woodwork and say "What about X or Y day time instead???"

Stop doing this shit

People come when they can, if they feel like it, at a time that works for them. If you're interested and can make it, awesome. Try your luck in person and see if things work out. If you miss the window, however, you miss the window. That's also how the game goes. You take the Ls alongside the Ws. I'll probably post this warning elsewhere, but If you go out of your way to ask someone posting a SPECIFIC time/day they're showing up to move their schedule JUST for you, I'll consider that the bare minimum of harassment, and apply the rules accordingly. It all comes down to respect, and you're not respecting the other person's/people's time when you do that
