1) THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Go Padres! That was awesome last night and I'm stoked to see our team advance. We're more than willing to celebrate that victory here. And also a shout out to /r/Padres . There's an awesome community there as well and even though I'm far from a baseball nerd they have some great commentary and analysis going on. So check it out if you haven't yet.

2) I don't know why the other mods are the way they are. They have always been like this. They have always had their rules. They're entitled to run their sub however they want. The admins won't kick them out. Don't bother asking for change or getting upset or posting there to voice your discontent. And if you go too far being angry on the Internet you could get banned from the rest of Reddit. So please don't do that. It's just not worth it. I wish they'd drop a sticky with us listed as an alternate more casual sub but I don't think that's in the cards.

3) This place has grown pretty quick (we just passed 42,000 subs and i think we picked up several hundred more last night lmao) because you guys are all amazing and post interesting stuff. And you can totally help it grow by redirecting people that got banned for talking about our city's baseball team to here by shooting them a DM or dropping subreddit links in other subs when it's appropriate.
