Hey guys -
I understand the frustration with the moderation over in /r/sandiego. And, to be honest, the comments from the mod over there the other day struck me as disparaging to women and minorities and I really didn't like it.
That being said—there is pretty much nothing the admins will do about that moderator unless there is some crystal clear "this breaks reddit's rules" going on. Filling out a bunch of complaint forms is annoying to the admins and only gets in the way of the problems they are actively looking for.
We also can't be user pinging the guy over and over. And we probably shouldn't have multiple threads to blow up the same issue. Because then we stand to get in trouble with the admins and the last thing I would want is to see users from here catching suspensions or bans from the admins themselves even if their anger and frustration with the other sub is entirely justified.
I would like your feedback.
- When there are inevitably issues with the other sub what should we do? We could consolidate threads into a mega thread. We could have a monthly "complain about the other sub" thread. We could keep a single thread from the poster who is the latest to get kicked out of /r/sandiego for some nonsense and remove ancillary threads.
I am in favor of keeping only one thread and removing others that are all related to the same topic.
Anyway - please keep the above in mind when you're talking about the other sub.
