Put in the bike lanes and eliminate parking. It makes the neighborhood nicer and I'd rather see people bicycling, scootering, or using shared transit than having a bunch of drivers circle around without looking for pedestrians amped to shiv someone over a parking spot.
I truly don't care that a handful of residents, most of which have a driveway, will have to walk a few blocks or pay for a private parking spot for their second vehicle or lose the space they camp out in front of their house. The entitled attitude that those parking spots are somehow their private spaces makes me wish they'd move. And I'm still finding those stupid yellow flyers they passed out as litter on the street.
Cars are just bad for cities and urban density. Full stop. Look at Los Angeles. That's what happens when you build your traffic plan around everyone driving cars. It's a nightmare. Let's not become Los Angeles.
OK that's the end of my rant please feel free to tell me you don't care in the comments or you can do what the people on NextDoor do and threaten to come beat my ass.
