You pay monthly. Then again at the office. And guess what? They’ll probably bill you again after you leave. They make up their own prices. How are we not being scammed?? They are the mafia of life saving medicines, pay up and we offer you our “protection.”

They can treat you however they’d like too, will walk out on you mid sentence as you beg for their help. That literally just happened to me. Not an ounce of compassion behind cold, bored eyes. The first words out of his mouth were that i have twenty minutes so, be fast. But we both know he was never really there.

I find these interactions so traumatizing it makes it harder and harder to ask for help when i need it. I wonder how many people would rather die than talk to one of these awful arrogant people. Can we talk about how brutal med school is? It’s almost like only the heartless and privileged can survive it. I do actually have a really nice lady doctor, i know they exist. but I couldnt get an appointment with her for two weeks and i was feeling stupidly optimistic for some absurd unexplained reason.

I want to file a complaint with California about how utterly useless this health insurance i pay for is. Can we sue someone? Has anyone else done this? I am just so exhausted and angry someone make me feel better please 😭 not even sure why I chose this sub to rant on except you guys are always so friendly.

Edit: so apparently i have to complain to kaiser before California. So i did! Here’s my favorite part:

What would you consider to be a proper solution to the issue? A proper solution would be even the most basic discussion that was not entirely one sided. Being hard limited on time only made everything worse. Why do I even pay for health insurance? To be treated like I am nothing? I feel sorry for the workers you exploit too. Pay them more! Let them spend more time with us! Maybe they would be less miserable and heartless.

Edit 2: i love you guys. Hate that so many have experienced problems too, but you are making me feel not alone and I genuinely appreciate you for that right now. Sitting at urgent care waiting to see another doctor actually. So keep telling me your stories or wish me luck 🤞

Edit 3: next doctor was a little nicer and i have survived and am home happily. Keep telling me your stories if you want you all are such lovely people.

Edit 4: you guys are the best. Ive never ranted on reddit this way before because i know what a dumpster fire this place can be 😂 but I honestly feel so much better about yesterday just because i had you all chiming in from my pocket. Just needed to remember how many kind people there still are in the world. Thank you for being those people.
