Don't use LGCY Power for solar in San Diego
Post Body

First - if anyone has recommendations for solar companies that aren't terrible feel free to post them in here.

I've been meaning to write this up because while I'm a relatively well resourced person this company could really do damage to someone that doesn't have as much experience with contractors.

We used LGCY Power after a friend recommended them. I am pretty sure that friend just got lucky that their project went OK.

My biggest gripe is that LGCY Power just didn't do any work and lied a bunch. It took almost a year to complete our small project because they kept fucking up and then lying to our faces.

LGCY Power works with Bright Planet and Sunrun and failed repeatedly to get our money where it needed to be to push the project along. They failed to schedule inspections. They attempted to install the wrong panels. They scheduled the panels to be installed on the wrong building. They lied about every mistake in phone calls with us. They're rude as hell including their regional managers. The only way we could move the project along was by threat of litigation and then taking control of the project ourselves with Bright Planet and Sunrun.

Anyway - don't use LGCY Power. They're awful and I hope they go bankrupt.
