Touchscreen for Dex Pad fail
Post Body

So I got a touchscreen portable monitor (Virzen 15 inch) it's awesome but I can't use the touchscreen feature through the Dex pad. Little did I know that HDMI does not input touchscreen. And none of the Dex docks that I've found on the market have a USB C input port only USB C power. Which is a bummer. So I looked if there are any adapters that I could add to my Dex pad to make it work. And no dice. I was hoping for a little double extender that I could add to the phone dock so the phone would be plugged in and I could run the USB C feed through the other end. It doesn't seem to exist. I then thought hey why not get a USB male to USB C female adapter, problem is USB ports don't seem to input video. Lol

So Im getting it from all angles on this one.

Now obviously I know I can just get a multiport dongle and ditch the pad all together. But I bough the dex pad before I bought the monitor and I can't take it back now so I'm stuck with it so I might as well try to make it work. This post may help someone trying to do the same regardless I know I can hook my phone up to the monitor directly if I really want to use the touchscreen feature and hopefully Samsung realizes this problem and either makes an updated dock that has a USB C input port or creates the adapter I was talking about for existing Dex dock users.

Either way I hope this helps. If anyone has any additional information on issues they've had or maybe you've actually made it work. Please share. But I can't wait to be able to switch between keyboard & mouse and touchscreen at will on a Dex Dock.
