Have used DEX for years, but admittedly I'm probably only scratching the surface of its capabilities. I just bought a new laptop (Lenovo Windows 11 Pro). installed DEX, and it looked like everything was working perfectly when I connected my Samsung S24. However...
I cannot select any phone apps to open them in my DEX screen. My typical phone desktop appears in the DEX window, but no app icons respond to mouse clicks. The only part of the DEX window that is responsive is the Settings icon in the upper right window border.
This is the first significant issue I've had with DEX. The S24 worked on my old laptop. Since this is a new DEX install on a new PC, I'm assuming the issue is on the PC side of things. I have updated DEX to the latest version. Any suggestions for troubleshooting/fixing this?
Thanks!

Stop. Using. Dex. On. Windows.
Instead, use link to windows. It puts your phone screen on your PCs monitor
It's not optimized and isn't really supported anymore. Just connect it to a monitor, its so much better. Performance will be better and everything will work. Monitors are like $50 used on marketplace.

Yeah you need to be using link to windows. It's wireless and gets the job done fine.
