I’ve lived in Iowa all of my life and as much as I love the open skies, scenic sunsets and friendly (for the most part) people I just need out of this place. It feels so small at times even though I live in an urban environment, like there’s literally nowhere you can run if that makes sense. It can feel very us and them at times and I think the fact that there’s not so much going on here breeds that kind of mindset. People for the most part great but I want to go somewhere where nobody knows my name or anyone that I know too. I don’t have a great way of describing how I feel about this place besides what I’ve said but to former Midwesterner’s that felt a desperate need to see what’s beyond the corn fields, where did you go?
