Looking to move from Utah once my lease is up in May so starting the search early.
Here’s why I picked those two and what I’d like to know.
Reasons for choosing
My company has several large offices in both locations which although I don’t have to go in everyday would be beneficial during high stress times to concentrate and get work done.
I have a lot of family on the East Coast and would like to stay closer to an international airport since I travel a lot for work.
Connectivity to a decent transit system currently live in SLC where the train goes nowhere I want to go
What I’d like to know
1: opportunities to get outdoors I’m a big mountain biker and have heard decent things about DC but not necessarily anything about Boston 2: realistic budget. I’m trying to keep it under 1.8k for a 2 bedroom or a one bedroom apartment with a garage.
3: Decent social opportunities I’m moving across the country again without knowing anyone so would like to know if apps like meetup/ social events tend to happen on a regular basis . 4: closeish to skiing although it’s not a requirement by any means but would be nice to know what’s out there I know snowshoe is close but east coast skiing can be temperamental the best of years.
5: average realistic age I’m 25 and have lived in both Denver and SlC now and haven’t really found too many people in my age group less so in SLC
6: any other recommendations for large cities that tend to fit the other 5 points. My company has offices in most big cities.
Thanks!
