I planned to fly out there Monday and stay till Saturday with a friend-- home is located in Layton. They now have a work trip to go on and have said I could stay there at their house for the remainder of my trip or I could go with them on their work trip.

If I were to stay there alone and go into SLC, what are must-see things? restaurants and bars? I haven't taken a solo trip since my late teens (in my early 30s now) and so I'm torn between staying alone there or not. Is the city safe and walkable -- trying to cut uber costs by just riding in the morning and heading home in the late evening/night? Best touristy things?

I am an early 30s female, down to try new things all the time, into comedy, adventure, and horror, love going out for a drink, and meeting new people.
