So yesterday I was sitting at North Temple and 400 w heading west and stopped at the 400 w stoplight. A pedestrian started to cross the intersection headed north, now normally this would not be an issue except the light had just turned green for East/Westbound traffic.
Had the pedestrian unknowingly entered the intersection on green, and sped up his walking to not impede traffic, this would not be an issue. But the pedestrian entered well after the crossing time had ended, looked over at us and just waved fully acknowledging that he was impeding traffic.
The van, that was in front of me, is really who I am speaking to, don't just stop in the intersection and wave him by, get up close and blare your horn! If needed, trap his ass in the median so he has to sit there and think about what he has done.
I know the pedestrian has the right of way until the intersection clears, but this is really becoming an issue downtown.
On a side note: who ever is doing these signs at UDOT, good Job.
