Substituting frozen pineapple for fresh in pineapple salsa?

Can it be done? Any tips?
Edit: Answer: Yes. Trader Joe’s frozen “pineapple tidbits” work great in salsa. I chopped them into smaller chunks while still frozen and then defrosted them in the microwave. Then tossed it all (along with all the juice) with red onion, cilantro, jalepeño and lime juice. Was super good on my tilapia fish tacos. Yum.
