So is salsa, and dancing, basically "moving" or stepping when an instrument gives a note or beat just like how a guitar player strokes a chord?
Post Body

So we step on an instrument like a clave or cowbell. If the cowbell is struck for 1 ding or get beat once with a stick, for dancers or in salsa, that means we step forward with a foot or at least do 1 shimmy or some sort of movement. Essentially moving our bodies with 1 sound. Then the more advance you go, the more movements and combinations you can get used to just like learning a chord in the guitar. Making us embodiments of the instruments..??

Sorry I'm just trying to dumb it down for me, I'm never a musician or a dancer, just trying to enhance my music taste. Is it also them more authentic if we dance to a live band compared to replayed music played on loud speakers?

Obviously what I described is not exactly salsa but I'm just trying to understand it like I'm five. So then with on 1 we get to step on "earlier" or different levels of the song, with on 2 we then get to step on other levels of a song.. Or in between instruments??
