Modelling guidance for followers of the Promethean Cult.
Post Body

I hope this meets relevancy standards but I couldn't think of anywhere more likely to know.

I'm working on a custom Boarding Actions team based around a forge world that has adopted Vulkan's Promethean cult alongside the normal AdMech beliefs. (For the sake of clarity I'll save my whole pitch at the end of the post). I'm still hashing out the list but I intend to include models from AdMech and the Solar Auxilia alongside a few Dark Krakens Space Marines. Right now I'm trying to nail down a few motifs to help sell them visually as part of the same force, but as best as I can tell there aren't a ton of concrete details publicly available about what would pass as Promethean regalia besides just modeling everything in Salamanders cosplay.

I'm open to general tips and leads, but I did have a couple specific questions:

  1. Is there any specific meaning to the hammer and tongs "belt decorations" found on the Salamanders upgrade sprue? They feel like religious iconography, but I was concerned they could be some sort of prestigious award only given to marines.
  2. Has there ever been a explanation for the O.G. yellow and black camo pattern worn in the Badab War? Has it shown up anywhere in more recent lore?
  3. For official Chaplain art it seems like we just have that one picture of Xavier looking pretty vanilla, so I feel like I can kind of run in whatever direction I want as long as the vibe matches. I'm considering running a primaris chaplain/ aggressor kitbash as a homebrewed HQ for the faction. Another direction I might go is a Judiciar with the sword swapped out for a bladed hammer and the tempormorits hourglass swapped for a flaming lantern. I did a cursory sweep of Sigmar stuff but nothing jumped out to me. Can anyone point me to some good bits or custom work for Salamanders chaplains?

I really appreciate any leads or details y'all can send me.
Thanks!

Faction detail: Following the loss of their homeworld and devastating losses taken at the fall of Cadia, remnants of Forge World Gryphonne IV are attached to work alongside Space Marines of the Dark Kraken chapter on their aquatic homeworld of Naktis.
Tech-adepts are assigned to the care of an ancient dreadnought gifted to the Krakens to celebrate their adoption of the Salamander's Promethean Cult. Gryphonne's priests struggle to reconcile the pre-heresy technology with the Kraken's primaris physiology until lexmechanics complete the first known Bhinauric translation of Vulkan's *Canticle of Immolation* to read to the dreadnought alongside the traditional litanies. The Tech-priests are shocked to find so much commonality between Vulkan's hammer-and-forge, service-and-sacrifice allegories and their own Martian beliefs. Gryphonne IV quickly adopts the Promethean Cult's teachings, seeing it as a moral guide for mortal dealings to sit alongside the Cult Mechanicus' code to govern matters of machine.
Following an inquisitorial audit Gryphonne is confirmed as an sanctioned branch of the Promethean Cult, despite the voiceferous protestation of Mars. The chaplaincy of Nocturne is thrilled and pours resources into Naktis. The planet is designated a high-security stronghold of the cult and Gryphonne is quickly set to work training and outfitting the populace to the standards of their roots in the Solar Auxilia. Secretly, they and the Krakens are also charged with fabricating and testing designs from Vulkan's fragmented records, including the fabled Nocturne-pattern terminator armor. Should the need arise, Naktis is to be the armory for the Promethean's crusade to restore the primarch.
