What language is preffered from tourists?

I have wanted to visit Georgia since a long time but haven't gotten around, I am from the netherlands and I have been learning Russian for it, this was before the whole invasion and the attitude seems to have changed, do georgians prefer to talk in English or in Russian with tourists? Should I just drop learning Russian because I was only learning it to hopefully travel across former USSR countries one day!
