I am new in Georgia (10 days) currently in Batumi and I would love to visit Goderzdi Ski Resort but there are a few things I would like to clear up before going there...

Firstly, how common is a police checkpoint on the way to Goderzdi from Batumi? My residence card hasn't been processed yet and my passport is with my employer who won't give it to me until my position at my job is not finalised, and I wouldn't want to be stuck with legal issues...

I am a 25yo Indian male if that is relevant. But I look quite young for my age (I frequently get carded at bars and stuff). I have arranged a car and I have a driving license from India and UAE.

Secondly, I read online that you can get a Ski Pass and rent Ski's and Snowboards there, but I couldn't find anywhere if it's possible to rent skiwear (skiing jacket and pants) and helmets. So is it available there or do I have to buy and carry my own?

Thirdly, what is the nearest point you can travel to by a 4x4 car before you need to park and rent a snowcat? Point on Google maps would be really helpful but even a searchable name is enough. I have read that the final part of the trip is only possible with a snowcat.

Lastly, I will be going for just one day, and returning the same night is very important for me as I have to be at the office the next day, so how easy or difficult is it to find return transportation/snowcat from Goderzdi to the point where I will park the car?

I am sorry if some of these questions may seem silly or easily available on the internet, but I have been searching up on it for 3 days now and I haven't still found answers to these questions...

I would appreciate any and all tips and things I should know before going, as I don't want to face any problems or be problematic to anyone else in a new country...
