This is my own personal opinion, as someone who makes a living off of publishing game/movie reviews online I figured I would share my opinion on reddit.

tl:dr not as good as expected, felt like not alot of effort was put in and game felt like a cash grab.

Saints row 3 has got to be one of my favourite games. When it released in 2011, all I did was play it over and over again doing the campaign dozens of times. This is something I have been able to do with a few games. I am able to replay saints row 3 over and over again.

Naturally when the remaster released i was quick in store and happy to spend the full game price in hopes for superior graphics update and new textures to cars and weapons. That excitement was short lived when unfortunately deep silver and other developers behind this remaster let me down with what I can only describe as a desperate cash grab with little effort.

While graphics are indeed improved, to call it a remastee is an insult to other developers who have gone to great lengths to remaster some of their old titles. While this has nothing to do with the remaster itself, I figured I would also include, I still enjoyed game play and was also able to immerse myself in the games DLC which I have never been able to play until the remaster. Sadly I was again disappointed in the genki dlc just basically adding a few new side activities, and the other 2 dlc being extremely short and not what I typically expect from a dlc.

All in all after completing the main story and dlc, whilst still having a copy of the original game, I decided to uninstall and return the remasterd edition if saints row 3. The game was nor worth the $60 selling price and in future I will be unsure about deep silver and their new releases.

I would rate the remaster: Gameplay 8/10 Graphics 7/10 Price 3/10 And a 4/10 for living upto my expectations For a total personal score of 6/10
