Saints Row 3 massive lag

Once the game starts up, it instantly starts lagging in the menus to the point where you cant even get into the game. And even if i do it continues to lag, some of it being input lag as well.
This didn't happen before, was there an update that i need to revert?
I'm totally lost on downgrading, cant figure it out for anything
