I have tried every trick that people have mentioned for trying to get my controllers to work with this game since day 1. I eventually gave up and completed the game with mouse/keyboard, which was genuinely horrible for me, i cannot drive in ANY game with keyboard and mouse. but i struggled through with this game, just HOPING that there would be an update to fix the controller issues. that update never came. and just today i decided to try it again, and wouldn't you know it...still the same, my controller is not detected at all by epic games, and if i try my dualshock 4, it's detected...but the mapping is completely unusable. I have tried adding EGS in steam as a non-steam game, tried saints row as a non-steam game, tried unplugging my mouse/keyboard, uninstalling and reinstalling the game...and epic games, wireless and wired for both xbox and playstation. and nothing works, not even close. and yet so many people will gladly say "yeah it's a pain in the ass, i had to unplug my controller and then plug it back in after the game loaded, this is just bad" like....seriously!! I WISH it was that easy for me, i wish i could get any of my controllers to work at all, and those who don't comment just to tell everybody else how it works fine for them, the other people just keep repeating the same "workarounds" that they claim will 100% work just because it worked for them. I just need some help with this so i can finally enjoy this game that is ACTUALLY enjoyable for me.
